PIETER CHRISTIAAN VAN ORANJE AND TIM CORONEL WILL DRIVE THE SIN R1 GT4 AT SPA, BELGIUM

Pilots of Racing Team Holland Pieter Christiaan van Oranje and Tim Coronel will join the team of Sofia Car Motorsport and will sit behind the wheel of Sin R1 GT4 in the fourth round of the European GT4 series, which will be held on 8th and 9th July at Circuit of Spa- Francorchamps, Belgium.

Pieter Christiaan van Oranje who is a member of the Dutch royal family has past experience with Sin R1 GT4, after being part of the team in the second round of the championship in 2016, along with Hendrik Still during the Championship at Zandvoort.

Motorsports is his passion. His career starts in 2005. He has two wins in the GT4 class and several second and third places. In 2012, Pieter Christiaan participates in von Tyres GT4 Trophy, HDI-Gerling Dutch GT and GT4 Trophy, AM class; in 2012 - in HDI-Gerling Dutch GT Championship; in 2014, he finishes in fifth position with PRO pilot Simon Knapp with BMW M3 GT4.

His teammate Tim Coronel is a Dutch driver who starts his racing career in 1994 in the Dutch Citroën AX Cup at the age of 22. From 2009 to 2015 he competes in the Dakar Rally with his twin brother Tom Coronel. In the latest edition of the Dakar Rally he tops the solo class and captures an overall 35th standing with his buggy. He also participates in Alfa Romeo 147 (Dutch and European) and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux races.

In 2013, Tim Coronel drives GT4 car during the Finale Races at Circuit Park Zandvoort, after which focuses mainly on his passion – Rally Dakar. In 2016 he returns to European GT4 series in the first round of the season in Monza (Italy), together with Pieter Christiaan van Oranje, BMW M3 GT4.
